This tool works as a plug-in, since it installs in your system as a virtual printer that works just like real ones do. Any file that can be sent to your printer can also be used to generate a PDF document, no matter what application you used to create it. Therefore, this is a system-wide utility tool.
The program counts on a very easy to use configuration panel, which allows you to set just five simple options. In fact, this is all the program needs to work properly. You can choose a custom location in your system disk to save the generated PDF files, state if you prefer to view the resulting file right after conversion, or if you want to e-mail it right away. Generating the PDF file is very easy as well - from the program used to create the input file, you choose the "Print..." command and select "My PDF Converter" as the printer. Just send the document to the printer and that is all.
As an observation, the program's executable file required to install it cannot complete the process completely off-line - it requires an Internet connection, since it downloads the real installer at the beginning of the installation process.
